One of the main attractions of Langkawi is the SkyBridge and SkyCab. The SkyCab is a cable car which has 3 station, base, middle and top. It takes about 15 mins for you to reach the top station at a staggering height of 2322ft. Unfortunately, the day we decided to go, it was raining a bit so there were lots of dark clouds. We were able to enjoy the glorious views from the SkyCab itself and the middle station. But, we could not see anything from the top as it was too cloudy.
The SkyBridge is the longest free span and curved bridge in the world. It is accessible from the top station for a small fee. Unfortunately, due to the weather we were not able to enjoy the views but the whole vibe of being so high from the ground and surrounded by white clouds, is an entirely different experience.
This was our last day in Langkawi. It was a short flight to Kuala Lumpur from there.
Kuala Lumpur had a completely different vibe from all the previous places we had visited in Malaysia. It was live, lots of tall – glass buildings, lots of malls, restaurants, shopping. Truly a big city vibe. One of the streets is known to be the ‘party’ street so every night they close it down for traffic. Either side of the street (including the first floor) has small bars and clubs. That street never sleeps, the day we were flying out, we called for a cab at about 6 am and that is when people were walking home. KL is good for 1-2 night stay, I would recommend venturing out in other smaller cities of Malaysia as they have so much more to offer.
This brings me to the end of my Malaysian adventures. Until next time at a new place 🙂
